Disney - Animal Kingdom Layout

CKC Lancaster was awesome! The classes, the shopping, the prizes, the new crafty friends and the crops were outstanding. Next year I promise to give myself more down time. I was running wild for 3 days and didn't have much focus during the crops. I managed to pull this one layout together based on an idea I had in my head for a while.

My family made its first trip to Disney in FL Christmas week last year. We enjoyed ourselves beyond measure! I figured it would be a great time to scrapbook our adventure. The design dilemma was showcasing our Animal Kingdom safari without showing pages and pages of just animals (which can be boring). I decided to pull out supplies from a class I took at CKC Valley Forge last year - Mosaic Moments. I remembered that with a mosaic I can weave together many pictures into one big scene. The Mosaic Moments grid paper marks exactly where to place the 1" squares to allow for the appropriate spacing.

Here is page 2...

I bought the title from Paper Wizard at CKC lancaster. The title has many layers. The tree is fuzzy even... It took a while to get everything into place but I love the way it looks. I have bought several die cuts from Paper Wizard but never put any together until now.

Side view .... some of the anumals are popped up on foam tape.

I decided to use Mosaic Moments for my entire Disney album using different layouts from their blog and my imagination. This is the first of many. Please let me know what you think.

    1. Thank you! The Mosaic Moments grid paper really makes the placement a snap. The work comes in the deciding what to place where and keeping all the pieces straight. Using repositionable adhesive is key! Thanks for stopping by and showing me some crafting love! Until next time...

    1. Thank you Merilee! Definitely a big big compliment coming from you!!! Thanks for taking the time to view my designs and leave comments. It means the world to me! I just made several more layouts for this album and will post them soon. Making cards with Mosaic moments is a snap! They have 6x6 grid paper. I've seen it in white for sure, not sure about other colors... I'd love to see what you create! And please do include a link to this post as your inspiration once you debut the card on your blog. Thanks again!
