OSW Finale - You're the Best! Happy Father's Day!


Happy Father's Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been a blast blogging every day! I hope you caught the one sheet wonder fever. Here's the last of the cards and a look back at all of the cards. I love the rustic look of this distressed wood grain paper. Although it has a pretty pattern, it's manly enough to use for Father's Day. The ribbon stamp from Close to my Heart is the perfect pairing to complete the card front.


Here's a look back at all the cards I made with each sheet of patterned paper. Here's the template I used.


I've never made outdoorsy kinds of cards until now. This fishing paper really grew on me.


And this deer patterned paper did as well!

Dad You Are My Sunshine


These are my fav cards of the bunch! Penny Black images are AWESOME! It's Day 12 of my new obsession - the one sheet wonder (OSW)!! I took the design factor up a notch this time. Guess I was really feeling it....LOL.

I love the Elizabeth Crafts Dazzles I used for the internal sentiment on the right-hand side. The "F" was backed on cardstock to make it red in the background. I love the pop of color.

Gone Fishing


I've got two fishing-themed Father's Day cards on day 10.  Both cards are from a one sheet wonder (OSW) template!! Here's the template I used.  Every day until June 21st (Father's Day in the USA), I'll share my OSW creations. 

These feature a stamped image of a fisherman. I received these stamped images as a RAK. They really came in handy!

Supplies:
  • The Paper Studio - patterned paper

You're My Hero

I pulled out an oldie but goodie - my random edge scissors. I thought it brought a certain amount of interest to the design. And of course three stamps created the most awesome heartfelt card.

Dad You're an 11


It's Day 6!!!
...of the Father's Day one sheet wonder (OSW) reveal!! Here's the template I used. Each page yields about 12 cards depending on the cuts you choose. Every day through June 21st (Father's Day in the USA), I'll share my OSW creations.

Hunting was the theme... but I love the sentiment I put together using 2 stamps.

Dear Father

I was asked to create a hunting theme Father's Day card. So, I thought it was so cute to play on the words deer and dear! I love the (top) sentiment inside from TPC Studio and used it a lot for these Father's Day cards.

Dad Happy Father's Day


It's Day 2 of my new obsession - the one sheet wonder (OSW)!! Here's the template I used to make this year's Father's Day cards. Every day until June 21st (Father's Day in the USA), I'll share my OSW creations.


This style requires a card base and focal layer to go with the cuts from the OSW template.  I thought stamping would be the perfect accompaniment. Using the OSW method took all the guess work out and I found myself having more fun with the supplies I have.

You're Amazing Dad!


Guess what? I have discovered a new obsession - the one sheet wonder (OSW)!! It's an amazing way to create many, many cards super fast!! I love this template. There's more options not pictured but explained after the graphic. I tried most of them to make Father's Day cards. From today until June 21st (Father's Day in the USA), I'll share my OSW creations.

Here's two of the styles. The OSW template gives you the patterned paper layers. You will need to create card bases and add additional layers to frame the OSW cuts.

Happy Father's Day!!



My daughter Zora and I decided to make a giant card for my husband for Father's Day. Together we designed the card. I did the cutting and Zora did the assembling. Here she is putting the finishing touches on Superman. She's my little crafting superstar!



Superman came out very well because he was cut at 11.5" so layering was a snap! I suspended it on my Scrap n Easel from Contain ya Crafts. The magnets are super strong and the black background is helpful for making my pics look their best.


The card is a poster board in neon green folded in half. To tone down the neon I added a 12x24 piece of  DCWV patterned adhesive-backed cardstock. Before applying it to the card I cut about 3" off so that there would be a border of neon around all sides.

Zora took her time and wrote a poem inside the card from my go to book The Ultimate guide to the perfect card. I chose a prayer from the book as well. We used the Cricut Father's Day cart for the word art and layers. Super Dad was cut at 5" and Happy Father's Day was cut at 4.5"

My husband Will thoroughly enjoyed our craftiness! Both kids presented him with his card and gifts. Aidan is 3 and he was super excited to help.


Aidan gave dad a travel mug with marvel comic characters on it. He knows it's his dad's favorite!


Zora made a book about her dad at school before the school year ended. She was so excited for daddy to read it. I gave him the new Nikon underwater camera and accessories and a huge collage poster of 35 fitness pics Will took last year. I also make his favorite pumpik pancakes for breakfast. He was floored. It was a great day!!

Hello & My MPS challenge submission




I never thought I'd start a blog. Even though I love writing, my practice of it has gone out of the window since motherhood has set in. I also never thought I would compete for prizes in crafting. But here I am trying to enter my first MPS challenge to win a cricut expression machine. I made my father's day project, uploaded it to photobucket and now I cannot upload my URL. I am so frustrated but refuse to give up! So I started this blog and plan to upload it that way. I stamped the image and hand colored it with markers. I used a gold leaf pen to outline the edges and smooch spritz to give it a little shimmer.


Here I go....
