Instant Scrapbook Baby Boy - gift bag and greeting card

I purchased this bag at Target so that I could put the scrapbook in it for delivery. I decided to coordinate the look of the scrapbook cover with the bag and greeting card to make a set. Using Cricut Imagine Cartridge Nursery Tails I printed/cut Bazzill basics white cardstock at 10". I also cut an extra bird and frog so that I could use foam tape to create a raised image. Then I attached it to the bag with adhesive. I did this on both sides of the bag.

The greeting card was created with Cricut Cartridge Wild Card. It's the doily card cut at 5" from double sided paper from the American Crafts baby "peek-a-boo" line. Using the Nursery Tails cart again, I print/cut the same images at 3" on Bazzill basics white. Just like the bag, I added dimension by adding tiny foam tape squares from EK Success. Ribbon from my stash added that extra cuteness.

Inside I added a sentiment from Stampin Up with Clear & Simple Stamps ink leaving plenty of room for writing a special message to the new mom. And this concludes my exploration of my very first instant scrapbook. Hope you enjoyed it!

Instant Scrapbook Baby Boy - Back cover

As continued from last time, here are the last page of the scrapbook. I added this extra page into the back cover of the album. This space is for a handwritten note to the baby about his effect on the family during his first year of life. These are the intangible details that will mean the world to the child once he grows older.

I used paper from EK Success Over the moon press called classroom stripes. I embellished with a scallop 6x6 square from DCWV, glitter stickers from my stash, and small square stickers from 6 min scrapbooker - baby boy.

Simple, with a strong message and strong impact.

Instant Scrapbook Baby Boy - Pg 16 & 17

As continued from last time, here are the next pages of the scrapbook. The first Christmas is a treasure. Trimming the tree, sharing the love of Christ...there's nothing better! This simple 2-page layout aims to show the excitement of Christmas.

DCWV Christmas cardstock is the best on the market in my estimation. It's double sided, heavy weight and expertly embellished. To create mats I used another pattern from this stack and punched the corners with Martha Stewart String Lace corner punch.

Adding dimensional stickers from La Petites by Paper Studio and Jolee's Boutique by EK Success completed the look.

Three different DCWV patterns were used in this layout and they all coordinate. Pick up a stack for your holiday needs!

Instant Scrapbook Baby Boy - Pg 15

As continued from last time, here are the next page of the scrapbook. First Thanksgiving is a family affair and how better to remember it by creating a scrapbook page for the baby's album.  Here I used 6 min Scrapboooker - family for the paper and most of the embellishments. However, I added a 3D sticker from Recollections - Happy Thanksgiving at the top of the page.

I love the Stampin' Up! stamp around products. The stamp is a wheel that attaches to a handle and loads special ink so that it continues the pattern as long as you roll the stamp. This particular stamp is called Bright Blessings. The ink is called Old Olive. The page has a grown up look which will help highlight the family generations that will spend time with the baby and the colors of this special holiday.

Instant Scrapbook Baby Boy - Pg 14

As continued from last time, here are the next page of the scrapbook. 2 Cute to Spook - this is my favorite layout of this whole album!!! I loved putting it together and creatively bringing the theme across. Who doesn't love a first Halloween? Seeing the little one in their first costume brings joy to all who sees it. I wanted to make sure that this page properly represents that excitement.

The fonts are a combination of Thickers (for the "2") and halloween alpha stickers from my stash. The 12x12 background paper is by GCD Studios - Spooked collection pack. The pumpkin dimensional stickers are from Reminisce "trick or treat" and the bat and dino rub ons are by Bo Bunny. The journaling block is from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker 6x6 mini paddle "Boo-tiful". To enhance the look of the jounraling block I used the "cracks" Martha Stewart Punch.

Waste not/want not.. I added the positive punched paper from the journaling block (that would usually get thrown away) to the border strip to add to the spooky look created by Martha Stewart drippy goo punch. The Cricut cuts - bats, spiders, spider webs are from the Wild Card cart. The circles in orange and patterened paper are DCWV. Black Foam glitter bats from my stash adorn the page. Ending with a Happy Halloween dimensional sticker by recollections seemed fitting.
