  1. Welcome back La-Vie!!!!! Wishing you a Birthday filled with Happy Memories to put in a scrapbook! Glad to see you smiling and blogging again. When I'm sad I get on my knees and pour my soul out to the Lord (Let it go). I turn on the Gospel station, because there is always a song that ministers to my spirit. If I feel any tension, I exercise. Just keep thinking 'Happy' thoughts. Be blessed.

  2. My mom passed away 2 years ago. When I am sad I look at family photos or just being around my grandchildren always makes me happy. Spending time in my garden or in my craft room is also helpful.

  5. Happy birthday, La-Vie! It's people like you who bring joy to others because of your fun, loving, good-natured spirit. Your smile is infectious! To find my happy place when sad, I try to take the focus off myself and send a note to someone (as you're doing now!) to let them know I'm thinking of them. This could be to mail a card, send an email, voice mail, or post on FB. One time I sent flowers to my mother on MY birthday. This was to thank her for having me and raising me to experience life to its fullest.

In this sad time of missing your mom, it appears you're finding your joy by doing a RAK to your online scrapbooking friends. Enjoy your birthday! Here's to many more!

  6. When i'm sad I purchase some chocolate make a cup of tea and watch a scary movie. I know it doesn't sound like it would make someone happy but it does. Losing someone is so hard, I could give you strategies etc but it is a day by day, person by person thing. Remember all the good times, check back in your scrapbooks and remember. <3

  7. I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that it is really hard to find your happy place after you lose a loved one. I try to spend lots of time with my grandkids and think of the wonderful time that had with that special person and count my blessings for those wonderful memories. Keep your heart open and enjoy all the new wonderful memories that are sure to come your wayy.

  8. Happy Birthday!! Your Mom would be proud :)
When I'm down, I think of Jeremiah 29:11 and remember that God has a plan of prosperity, hope and a future for me. I know if I trust Him, I will be ok.

  9. Happy birthday La-Vie! When I am sad or down, I like to be alone so that I can collect my thoughts and regroup. I tune any and everybody else out and focus on what I need to do to get back to my happy place.

  10. When I'm sad or feeling down I put both my dogs in the car and take them down to the local park and walk them. I love to see them so happy out and about and it's an instant cheer me up!

  11. Happy Happy Birthday! My mother passed suddenly in October of 2013-just shy of 1 month after my wedding and only 2 months before we found out I was pregnant. It was an extremely difficult time for me & then we almost lost our son during delivery & spent a month in NICU, unsure of whether or not he would ever come home-but I believe wholeheartedly that she is his guardian angel and helped him recover. That is what I think about when I miss her & I know she's here with us.

When I feel sad I always try and create something. Its the best way I know to channel my sadness into something beautiful.

  17. Happy birthday sweets!!! How very nice of you to celebrate your birthday by doing crafty RAKS. You are a true gem. Well when I am sad, I pray. I go into my peaceful place and talk to God. It's funny how that might sound like a cliche. But it's so calming. I always start off in prayer then I go to my favorite bible versus. Afterwards I put on some calming Christian music. Before I know it, I feel much better.

    Good luck sweet cakes!

  20. Happy Birthday! I pray you had a wonderful time. Losing a loved one is never easy, especially your Mom. I lost my son in 2001 and that's when I started crafting. It was very therapeutic. God bless you for your generosity to others!! You are inspiring!

  21. Enjoy your birthday month. I lost my son when he was 13. I had more that 600 Thank You cards to send out. After 3 trips to the Hallmark store I decided to start making my own cards. That was a few years ago and I've been making cards ever since. When I need to lift my spirits the scissors, adhesive and BRIGHT, COLORfUL paper come out to play!

  29. Happy Happy Birthday!! When I am sad, the things I do to feel better: Pray to God, and just talk to Him as I would a counselor. I will also make cards, ATCs, something crafty to take my mind off things. The first everything without a loved one is hard.. I lost my Mom more that 15 years ago, and while her birthday, date of death and such don't put me into tears now, I do feel sad on those day. I just let it be. It will pass. (((((((HUGS)))))))

  30. I struggle with depression, so I tend to get sad. I try to concentrate on working a crossword puzzle or watch videos on YouTube that make me laugh. I too lost my mother several years ago and my father right after that. I don't do holidays because it's just me now. My birthday is Jan 4th and since my mother died I don't even receive a card. Alot of people wish me happy birthday on Fb which is nice. So to not concentrate on the family oriented activities during the holidays, I volunteer. I helped a church group cook Thanksgiving for the homeless shelter. I also helped another group cook for the ladies in jail for substance abuse issues we work with. Xmas time I go work to help those on a nursing home nearby. Make cards andon't candy to give out.

  35. Hope that you had a wonderful birthday.

    Hello,

Thanks for doing this. You're going to be so blessed with doing this. I would love to receive one of your RAK's. When I am sad I make myself happy by reflecting back on positive memories and things that have made me smile or laugh. I also talk to my husband or a close friend about how or what I am feeling. I know that your mother is smiling at what you are doing right now. She is very proud of you.

  41. How Mr Benjamin Lee service  grant me a loan!!!

Hello everyone, I'm Lea Paige Matteo from Zurich Switzerland and want to use this medium to express gratitude to Mr Benjamin service for fulfilling his promise by granting me a loan, I was stuck in a financial situation and needed to refinance and pay my bills as well as start up a Business. I tried seeking for loans from various loan firms both private and corporate organisations but never succeeded and most banks declined my credit request. But as God would have it, I was introduced by a friend named Lisa Rice to this funding service and undergone the due process of obtaining a loan from the company, to my greatest surprise within 5 working days just like my friend Lisa, I was also granted a loan of $216,000.00 So my advise to everyone who desires a loan, "if you must contact any firm with reference to securing a loan online with low interest rate of 1.9% rate and better repayment plans/schedule, please contact this funding service. Besides, he doesn't know that am doing this but due to the joy in me, I'm so happy and wish to let people know more about this great company whom truly give out loans, it is my prayer that GOD should bless them more as they put smiles on peoples faces. You can contact them via email on { Lfdsloans@outlook.com} or Text through Whatsapp +1-989 394 3740.
