Day 2 MPS 12 days of xmas challenge

I know it's been a while, but I am back with a vengeance. I have been volunteering at my daughter's school, making christmas cards, etc. Today I am entering the My Pink Stamper 12 days of Christmas challenge. We had to create an item with 2 shades of pink, 2 shades of blue and black. I got out my scraps and started creating and come up with this little ditty using ribbon from my stash, Cricut Imagine Cartridge - Imagine More for the sentiment, stamps from my stash and Cuttlebug embossing folder perfect paisley. U like????

Halloween Treat For MMLV/ Cricut Circle wkly Challenge #4

My mom's group had a wonderful outing with the kids at the Crayloa Factory. I made this treat for the children (super fast) just before I left. I used stampin up! sweet treat cups, halloween printed paper, black shimmer paper and orange card stock from my stash. The only cricut cart used was wild card. The card and the card liner were cut at 2.75 inches, the web at 2.5 and the spider at 2. Brach's candy corn from target. I wrote happy halloween with zig millenium black pen, my favorite pens for journaling etc.

Thank you card

I am going back through my photos to find projects I have made in the past but never showed on my blog. I made this thank you card for a dear friend in march 2010. I used a stamp from stampin up, flocked paper, brads, a felt flower, and glittered papers to make this card based on a picture in a magazine. Hope you like it!

Circut Circle Weekly Challenge #3 Autumn Splendor

My 5 year old daughter and I designed this card for a class project. We used the create a critter cartridge, stampin up! stamps, stazon black stamp pad and a cuttlebug embossing folder for the background effect. I did all the cutting and stamping and she did all the glueing. We made a great team! The give thanks stamp and the talk bubble stamp are recent additions to my stash from HSN. I decided to emboss the envelope flap, stamp the front of the envelope and add some googly eyes to the turkey for the compelte effect.
The kids will make one card for their parents and one card for elders at a nursing home. I will volunteer at the school and teach the kids how to make this card. It's got a lot of layering...but I think if my 5 year old can do it, all 5 year olds can try right? And the best part is, without even knowing, I completed the weekly challenge for the cricut circle. Wish us luck!

Circut Circle Weekly Challenge 10 7 10

Greetings! I have another challenge to enter today. This time it's the Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge using the French Manor cart (exclusively for Cricut circle members). We were instructed to do 2 cuts, use pearls and jewels. Here's what I came up with. Isn't it cute? I decided to embellish the inside of the card as well. I used a flower stamp set from Just For Fun http://www.jffstamps.com/. I was able to create multicolor images by using double-sided ink daubers from memories direct. The set of 24 double tipped daubers bought from HSN allows for precise placement of the inks to create multi-colored images or to ink just one part of a stamp if you don't need the whole image. Love it!

Another MPS challenge - Fall Card

It's been a long time, but I plan to post more regularly. I created this card to participate in the My Pink Stamper challenge. Robyn asked everyone to create a fall or Halloween themed card. I chose fall and used the Speaking About Fall Cricut Cartridge.I used a white opaque pen to accent the Cricut cuts, ribbon and eyelets from my stash. The mat and card is from Die Cuts With a View. The mat is from the adhesive mat stack specifically. The prize is an MPS Spooky Puns stamp set. Wish me luck!

Hello & My MPS challenge submission

I never thought I'd start a blog. Even though I love writing, my practice of it has gone out of the window since motherhood has set in. I also never thought I would compete for prizes in crafting. But here I am trying to enter my first MPS challenge to win a cricut expression machine. I made my father's day project, uploaded it to photobucket and now I cannot upload my URL. I am so frustrated but refuse to give up! So I started this blog and plan to upload it that way. I stamped the image and hand colored it with markers. I used a gold leaf pen to outline the edges and smooch spritz to give it a little shimmer.

Here I go....
