Instant Scrapbook Baby Boy - Pg 16 & 17

As continued from last time, here are the next pages of the scrapbook. The first Christmas is a treasure. Trimming the tree, sharing the love of Christ...there's nothing better! This simple 2-page layout aims to show the excitement of Christmas.

DCWV Christmas cardstock is the best on the market in my estimation. It's double sided, heavy weight and expertly embellished. To create mats I used another pattern from this stack and punched the corners with Martha Stewart String Lace corner punch.

Adding dimensional stickers from La Petites by Paper Studio and Jolee's Boutique by EK Success completed the look.

Three different DCWV patterns were used in this layout and they all coordinate. Pick up a stack for your holiday needs!

Thank you card - Stamp La Jolla and Just for Fun

I love tools that allow me to create a card on the fly. This one was created for a neighbor who brought me the nicest house warming gift when we moved into our home last year. One of my favorite stamp companies, Stamp la Jolla http://www.stamplajolla.com/ is the maker of the thank you stamp used on this quick card. If you look closely, you can see a hint of a floral image on the front of the card. I used an ink that creates a watermark look - Versamark. The floral stamps used are from another favorite stamp retailer Just for Fun http://www.jffstamps.com/. I also used versamark on the inside of the card with the small flower stamp from my stash. The punched design around the card is from a Martha Stewart punch around the page product and the ribbon is from my stash. Using an opaque white gel pen to write inside a dark card always does the trick. Inkessentials makes a great one. The corners were rounded on the sentiment using the best corner rounder on the market from Creative Memories.

Forever Young card

To brighten my little sister's day, I created this stylish card. The image of the fashionista made me think of her. I love making quick cards with ribbon, simple embelishments and a nice sentiment inside. I love this Cart because it has very girly images and silhouttes of women wearing dresses etc. Recipe: Cricut Cartridge Forever Young - lady and clothing cut at 4" Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page - Bubble bath Orange cardstock and red ribbon from my stash foam tape La-Vie

Jamaica Scrapbook for Crystal 8

The finale of the waterfall climb! It was a great accomplishment to conquer the falls! I used decorative edge scissors to cut the 12x12 page. I also used Martha Stewart Punch around the page to create the blue circular embellishments. Instead of creating page titles, I decided to mat a vellum scenic route sentiment with blue allowing it to coordinate with the page. Short and sweet!

Christmas Card for the Troops

I designed this Christmas card to thank the troops for their service. A group of young children age 3-6 from my Jack and Jill of America group assembled several of the cards and they were sent in care packages for the troops through Give2thetroops. This was our community service project.
Here's the recipe:
  • card base - cricut cartridge plantin' schoolbook
  • card layer - white glittered cardstock Die Cuts With a View, punched with Martha Stewart Punch Around the page
  • reindeer - Cricut cartridge create a critter
  • Joy - cricut cartridge joys of the season
  • googly eyes
  • sentiment inside - Stampin Up!

Baby Shower Thank You Cards

I designed these Thank You cards as a gift for my sister-in-law and her husband who recently had their first child. The nursery has a jungle theme and is decortated in these colors. I scraplifted a way of packaging the cards based on a technique learned from My Pink Stamper, my favorite crafter/blogger. I used clear cello treat bags usually used for birthday party gift bags and attached a card on top with a staple to match the contents.

Here's the recipe:
  • lion - and layers cut at 3" - Cricut cartridge animal kingdom

  • giraffe - and layers cut at 3.5" - Cricut cartridge animal kingdom

  • monkey - and layers cut at 3" - Cricut cartridge new arrival

  • thanks - and layers cut at 1.25 - Cricut cartridge Zooballoo

  • martha stewart punch around the page - scallop 3 dot, laurel leaf, double loops

  • stickles - crystal

  • ribbon from my stash

  • cello bags

  • for your shower stamp from Stampin' Up!

This was my first attempt at making sets of cards for someone as a gift. Comments please?

Interactive Spinner Card

I created this thank you card using Die Cuts With A View card base and a spinner card top layer from Repeat Impressions http://www.repeatimpressions.com/. By placing a circular foam adhesive dot between two pennies and attaching an image on top, the image spins from side to side on the card. Love it! I inlcuded an unedited video of the card in motion. I also used a stamped sentiment from Stampin Up. The little African woman is a stamp I purchased at a craft fair. I used the cuttlebug and swiss dots dry embossing folder to add dimension. I am in love with the martha stewart punch around the page punches. I used it along the trim to add interest. The thank you ribbon was from my stash bought at AC Moore. Hope you enjoyed it!
