Little Sport Big Star

I like to gift a framed scrapbook page to the coaches of my kid's sports teams as a keepsake and reminder of the season. This one is especially special because it's my son's first team sport.

Aidan is 4 years old and has been waiting for years at the sideline while his big sister played sports. He was dying to get out there. Although he did not understand all the rules, he was overjoyed to be out there and would run back and forth with such a beaming smile on his face. I've never seen him so happy. It makes it all worth it.

Supplies:

  • Bazzill Blue cardstock, patterned cardstock (stash)
  • White glitter Thickers
  • Cricut Decals cut at 2.5" and 3"
  • Soccer ball - Puffies
  • 12 x 12 Frame - Micheals Crafts
  • Jolee's Boutique - Little Sport, Big Star, stars, arrow
  • Journaling block - Deja Views: Friends Journal Sticker Tablet
  • Pigma Micron pen - green, Zig Photo Signature pen

Personalized Water Bottles for Lacrosse

My daughter just finished her first season of Lacrosse. I chose the sport for her and neither of us knew anything about it when she began. She has developed a love for the sport and pick up the skills required rather quickly. The team gelled and finished the season undefeated.

To congratulate all the teammates my company is donating personalized aluminum water bottles for each girl (two teams = 33 girls)! Each bottle features a lacrosse player with the girl's name and jersey number. Here's the first one I completed for my daughter Zora who was #57. I tied bows on the cover and attached a tag with my company info with twine to complete the look.

Supplies:

  • Aluminum water bottles - Dollar Tree
  • Gold adhesive Vinyl 12" x 24" - Oh My Crafts!
  • Cricut Transfer Tape
  • Cricut E2 - Cricut Decals (lacrosse player 3.5") and Hannah Montana (font 1" and numbers .25")
  • Ribbon, Twine - American Crafts
  • Tags - Hero Arts
Check back tomorrow for the latest Get Inky! Stamps challenge and my inspirational post. I hope you'll join in on the fun!!!

Challenge #12 - MPS National Scrapbook Day

This past Saturday was national scrapbooking day. My Pink Stamper posted challenges hour by hour throughout the day. The big prize is a Cricut Imagine machine, however there are several great prizes available. Luckily, she is allowing everyone who wasn't able to participate on Saturday to enter the contests today by 1am EST. There were 12 challenges in all and I created projects for 10 of the challenges in under an hour for each one. The sad part is that I did not get a chance to upload all my creations. The time ran out on me. But I had fun so it was worth it!

Challenge #12 - create a scrapbook layout, card,  etc. with a kid's theme http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/05/national-scrapbook-day-challenge-12.html

My daughter started playing soccer with a YMCA team recently, so I created this decor for her room. The background was printed and cut using the Cricut Imagine and Nursey Tails Cartridge. This is a scrapbook page that I printed a third of the size. The soccer girl was cut using the Cricut Expression 2 from the internal cartridge Cricut Decals (pg 33 sports II). I used Bazzill basics paper in white and pink. The star power stamp is from my stash.
