Baby Shower Candy Buffet

Who doesn't love candy? As an extra treat for my sister's baby shower, I figured I'd try my hand at creating a child safe candy buffet. Instead of using glass, I bought a box of air tight containers at BBB and embellished with DCWV Safari Kids Stack. I used scraps and cut several different lengths of cardstock depending on the size of the container.

The animals are from hobby lobby in the baby shower section. They match some of the other decor (signs, etc.) that I hung around the room. The twizzlers came in their own container so I easily embellished it after taking off the branding. If you look closely, you'll see I nestled one of the baby shower invitations for my sister to see when she arrived at the shower.

This is a great project to get the kids to help with. My kids love to craft and create with me. They both enjoyed pouring the candies and ...

My son enjoyed putting the animal stickers on the cello bags that guest used to hold their candy from the buffet.

My sister was totally surprised! My son gave her the tour as soon as she arrived. The buffet was stocked with many of her favorites!

Guest congregated and enjoyed making bags and bags of candy! I had to replenish a couple of times.

But no one enjoyed it more than the mom to be. Can you guess that Twizzlers are her favorite?

  1. Great idea! The decorations are so cute. I love the poster of the mom to be, too. Looks like fun!

    1. Thank you so much! Believe it or not, I took that photo the day before and had it printed on poster board at Costco while I waited. Saved a bundle on that!! They zoomed out on the picture so we could sign.
