Washi Tape Sunburst LO

Here's my version of a washi tape sunburst. My idea was to cut a whole in the cardstock in order to place a second piece of cardstock behind with the washi tape stuck down in a sunburst pattern. The tape was very forgiving no matter how many times I took it off to rearrange it.

Do you use washi tape? I'd love to hear how. Fill me in??!!

Supplies:

  • DCWV The Spring Fling Stack
  • Washi tape
  • Creative Memories Cutting System large wavy circle (cut with blue blade)
  • Pressed Petals Scrap metal adhesive letters
  • Jolee's Boutique Dimensional stickers (flowers), title and pearl and bling embellishments
  • Spectrum Noir alcohol marker - BP4
  • Recollections 8 1/2 x 11" white cardstock

Challenges:

  2. Used wash tape for the first time last week...you're so good at it! We really need and LSS though as the choices at the box stores are so sad.

    1. Thanks Lyne!! It was my second time using washi tape (first on a layout - I think). Yeah, it would be nice to have more selection. That's exactly why I want to open my own scrapbook store. If the stars align...

    2. I lied, I used it on my Disney LOs. So this is my 3rd time using it on a LO.

    1. Thanks Paula! Pull out that tape and use it!! Anytime you need a border, accent, ribbon, etc. you can use washi tape instead. it's awesome!! you can peel it up and place it down any number of times and it remains tacky. I'd love to see what you come up with!!
