I love their new packaging!!

Clear and Simple Stamps - These are my all time fav of the stamps I purchased at CKC lancaster. Some of these stamps come with the dies to cut out the ragdoll (full body only). I'm so excited about that!! These dolls look like me and my kids! The possibilities are endless! There are many more styles but I got these to start. I just discovered there are shoes and hats that go with the ragdolls so I'm going online to get those this week!! Can't have my dolls running around barefoot! LOL. Note that all the stamps from this company are small sized. I love them for card making, onesies, 3D boxes etc and small layouts.

I love this company. It's run by an African-American mom and daughter team. They always remember me when I come to the booth and show me so much love! Please check out their stamps and hybrid ink, Copics and all their other products!! They teach the best Copics classes around!

And now, for the big teaser....

ScrapRack - this product and this company's free organization seminars (that can be used with any products you already have - you don't have to buy the scraprack but it makes it easier) has changed my life!! My next post will be all about my journey to permanent organization. I took a class on it at CKC Lancaster and have been working on it daily ever since. It's a revolution!!! SO excited to share with you guys. And the best thing is, the next free online series of seminars starts September 11 so you can get in on the fun. Check out the website. Stay tuned to this blog...

CKC Lancaster haul! Part 3

Yet another installment of my CKC Lancaster Haul! I'm very excited about these craft supplies. I cannot wait to use all of these items. Once I get my craft room organized it's on!

Embellish It! - I am not usually a collection purchaser but I loved the way these scrabble letters looked and decided to pick up the coordinating paper pack to go with it. The collection is called Basic Grey - Clippings and it's hot off the press from CHA.

Strictly Scrapbooking - OK so I'm in LOVE with the Heidi Swapp embellishments! I got several. In addition I got these sparkly spiral thingys. The fav find was the large silk flowers with chipboard embellishments for the center of the flowers included. It was a "2 for" steal deal.

Craft Fantastic - This is the easiest jewelry (with the fewest steps) I have ever made! I bought the rings, square necklaces and heart necklaces. I taught my 7-year-old daughter how to do it in less than half hour. This is what she made. Aren't these so cute?

The Stamps of Life - I am a member of this monthly stamp club. In a year I have never gotten a set I didn't love! I also love that they have dies now to match their stamps. I have purchased my first two at CKC lancaster. Great projects to come...

The Digital Scrapbook Teacher - These were the most influential classes of the conference. I took 3 (2hr) classes on photoshop elements so that I could learn how to do advanced photo editing techniques. I also learned how to make cards and scrapbook layouts in photoshop elements. I feel empowered with some tools that will benefit everyone... holler at your girl! I will fix your pics for $$.

CKC Lancaster Haul! Post 2

Here's my 2nd post debuting my haul from CKC Lancaster.  My next stop was Dollar Scrapbooking. They had the cutest fabric brads, crochet flowers, stickers, polka dotted felt and my fav find - Luminarte Radiant Rain Color Concentrate. It's a dauber of twinkling H2O's. I got several colors.

At Heartfelt Creations I found these unmounted stamp storage sheets. They are ridgid and can hold the weight of my unmounted stamp collection. I had a coupon for a free stamp so I chose the one they used for the project they taught at the crop.

This is my favorite company for African and African-American stamps. Rubbernecker has @ 25 stamps with images of color. I have bought several before but here are my new ones!! I also got the 3-pk summer colors of Distress Ink at their booth.

Creek Bank Creations had some really cool items that my crafty friend who attended the convention with me introduced me to. I always have way too many great pics to add to a layout. They have photo fold out books in several sizes that allow you to add a mini book on a scrapbook page. They close with magnets!! I fell in love at first sight. The mini rulers and thread spools from maya road were too cute to leave behind! And I am finally going to try action wobbles so I can get caught wobblin and receive a prize from the action wobble blog!

I have a lot of plans for this colored sand called mud puddles. I bought a brown and a blue colored container with the spatula for spreading it onto my projects. Can't wait to share the projects I make with these cool tools!

If you have used any of these items, please give me your thoughts and advice in the comments sections of this post. Thanks in advance!

CKC Lancaster Haul! Post 1

I promised I would do something I never have done before... post about all the items I bought at Creating Keepsakes Convention - CKC Lancaster. I am a crafting shop-a-holic so get ready! I would have done this sooner but I have been busy organizing based on the teachings of the people over at ScrapRack! I'll share more about that later as well. And after that, I will post all the things I learned how to make in classes at CKC lancaster. Get ready for an exciting month!

Ok, this is what I bought... it fits in the large blue ikea shopping bag. The only thing I do not have in the pics is the scrap rack items. They were too heavy to carry around.

I love getting bags and t-shirts that have crafty sayings on them. My favs came from the CKC Bookstore. I couldn't deny this tote bag! Isn't it cute?

And I will be wearing these at an upcoming crop. I really believe that housework quote (LOL) and I had had had to join the keep calm movement!

I saw a woman wearing this shirt and I had to run and get me one... I got the last one! It's from Scrapbook Girl and they had sweatshirts, pjs etc. I got some clip it up accessories there as well.

These shirts are from Paper Wizard. I love them for their lazer cut fancy titles. I recently put together one for my Animal Kingdom layout. Here are the products I got from them. Each must be assembled after you take it out the packaging.

Hope you enjoyed this uncharacteristic post... lots more to come...

Disney - Animal Kingdom Layout

CKC Lancaster was awesome! The classes, the shopping, the prizes, the new crafty friends and the crops were outstanding. Next year I promise to give myself more down time. I was running wild for 3 days and didn't have much focus during the crops. I managed to pull this one layout together based on an idea I had in my head for a while.

My family made its first trip to Disney in FL Christmas week last year. We enjoyed ourselves beyond measure! I figured it would be a great time to scrapbook our adventure. The design dilemma was showcasing our Animal Kingdom safari without showing pages and pages of just animals (which can be boring). I decided to pull out supplies from a class I took at CKC Valley Forge last year - Mosaic Moments. I remembered that with a mosaic I can weave together many pictures into one big scene. The Mosaic Moments grid paper marks exactly where to place the 1" squares to allow for the appropriate spacing.

Here is page 2...

I bought the title from Paper Wizard at CKC lancaster. The title has many layers. The tree is fuzzy even... It took a while to get everything into place but I love the way it looks. I have bought several die cuts from Paper Wizard but never put any together until now.

Side view .... some of the anumals are popped up on foam tape.

I decided to use Mosaic Moments for my entire Disney album using different layouts from their blog and my imagination. This is the first of many. Please let me know what you think.

Christmas in July - Swirly Cross

Cricut Cartridge New Testament has many ornate crosses to cut. This one caught my eye. In keeping with Christmas colors I chose to use silver, gold, red and beige. The cardstock is from my stash and the beige is from Bazzill. In order to make the cross itself stand out, I decided to heat emboss with gold embossing powder from Stampin Up! and versamark. Bling always makes things more festive, so I added a clear crystal to the middle of the cross.

Christmas in July - Angel card

I love a shaped card! This angel card and layer was cut at 5" from Cricut Cartridge Inspired Heart. I used my Gypsy to weld two of the round layers to create the card base out of Bazzill cardstock. To give the card base a little dimension, I ran the front through the cuttlebug using the birds and swirls embossing folder. The purple metallic cardstock layer with the angel is cut from DCWV Metallic Stack.

Christmas in July - Sunburst Cross

My goal with this Christmas in July post was to create a simple but impactful cross card. This cross and its layer were cut at 6" from Cricut Cartridge New Testament. The gold layer is cut from American Crafts foil cardstock and the dark silver layers were cut from DCWV. The white card base is Bazzill.

Crafter's tip  - Use Krylon 18KT Gold Leafing Pen to fill in damaged areas of gold foil cardstock.
I got impatient with all the rays in the cut and was rushing to get it off the mat. Before you know it, I had ripped off the top layer of the foil in quite a few spots. Unwilling to start over, I thought about how to fix it. I can't even tell where the trauma happened to this card! LOL!

Christmas in July - Baby Jesus

Here's another Christmas in July installment. This card adorned with Baby Jesus in his cradle has many beautiful layers. The image was cut from Cricut Cartridge New Testament at 5.5" using my Cricut E2 machine. Heavy weight metallic cardstock from American Crafts and my stash was used on the body of Jesus and the light behind his head. I used a mix of cardstock to create the other layers - Bazzill and DCWV. Inside the card is a computer printed sentiment on metallic text weight paper from The Paper Cut.

Check back in a few days for more Christmas in July!

3 Wisemen - Christmas in July

This is one of my favorite cards from the batch of lost in the mail Christmas cards. The silhouette of the 3 wisemen was cut at 5" from DCWV glitter cardstock and Cricut Lite cartridge Inspired Heart. I love DCWV glitter cardstock because of its brilliant shimmer with no mess. The glitter is embedded in the paper rather than on top and will not make your workspace messy.

The gold heavy cardstock is from my stash. It is 8 1/2 x 11" folded in half. I dry embossed it with the D'vine Swirl cuttlebug folder just on the front to symbolize the desert winds and sand swirling around them during their journey to see baby Jesus. The inside message is personalized for the recipient and printed on text weight metallic paper from The Paper Cut.

Hope you were inspired today!

Christmas in July

For the next few posts I'm going to post some very special cards I made for Christmas for my big sister that unfortunately were lost in the mail. I was heart broken because I worked painstakingly hard to make sure these cards were my best work so that she could spread the love of Christ to her friends and loved ones. Alas, it was not meant to be...

This card was created using Cricut Cartridge New Testament. I actually bought this cart in order to make something for my big sister before she even asked. That's also why it was so hard to take when they were lost.

The square card base is Bazzill and the layers are my Bazill, American Crafts etc. Mary and Jesus were cut at 5.5" which is rather large but I wanted that effect for this card. The layer was dry embossed with swiss dots cuttlebug folder using my cuttlebug. Although it took several layers to create the scene they were not hard to put together. My favorite part is the metallic gold behind Jesus' head.

The inside sentiment (peeking out in the pic below) was printed on text weight metallic paper from The Paper Cut. I love love love it! The paper is perfect for fitting inside cards. In order to print on it, I used repositionable herma dotto adhesive to attach it to a regular piece of printer paper and run it through my ink jet. However, now I have a better printer and can set the paper size use a special tray.

Looking forward to showing you more of the lost cards...stay tuned.
