As you hop along with the Kraftie Kre8ations Design Team and Facebook group members, we hope you will be inspired to create your own fall project and link up using the inLinkz on the Kraftie Kre8ations blog sidebar.  Our color palette (see below) is an amazing representation of the changing colors of fall leaves.  Create ANY fall project (including Thanksgiving).  It can be a layout, card, mixed media project or an altered item. The sky is the limit!

For the occasion I created a fall wreath adorned with Cricut cuts and wrapped in twine, burlap ribbon (from The Paper Studio) and baker's twine for my craft room door. It was truly a labor of love!

I've always wanted to create a wreath like this but knew it would be time consuming. Although it's only 7 1/5" across it took FOREVER to cover in twine. It took more than 15 small spools of American Crafts twine to cover the form. To boot, I used a floral ring from the dollar tree and it was very difficult to work with. Next time I will get the styrofoam wreath (and stop playing LOL). 

The title is cut at 3.25" from the Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Cartridge using American Crafts foil cardstock, red linen cardstock (stash) and blue and brown cardstock from Bazzill.

Using the Cricut Imagine, I printed and cut the leaves and their layers from the Nursery Tails cartridge at 5.5" and added red glittered accents and yellow bling from Recollections. Instead of layering the leaves, I used the layer as a separate fern adornment for the wreath. Blue wired ribbon completed the look.

Lucky You, Lucky Me card

I'm loving the daily excitement of creating projects for challenges! You've got to give it a try! Today I am entering 4 challenges. The first is a sketch challenge: M613 Sketch Challenge (see below) at Repeat Impressions. The second is a color challenge: going green at Trendy Twine which calls for a St. Patrick's Day theme with a clover, leprechaun (or both),  Monochromatic green (shades of green; no other colors) and Trendy Twine or hemp if you don't own any of their brand.  The third is an "it's all about the green" (plus ribbon) theme at 3 Girl Jam. Last but not least - is an Action Wobble challenge called seeing double. They asked for a project that has two of something that's exactly the same and to use an action wobble. I think my project was a perfect marriage between the three challenges!

This  project was a journey! Keeping in line with all the requirements and still exerting my creativity while trying new techniques was exhilarating! Quite by chance, I ended up with 2 double elements -the shamrocks and the dahlia seam binding bows. I have been watching some folks outline die cuts with twine. I love the look but have no idea how they keep the twine straight and not gluey looking?! I struggled with outlining this simple shape using glossy accents. Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated!! Please leave it in the comments section. I am in love with my Stampin' Up dahlias and their stamps (of course!). They always seem to have a perfect saying for my projects. AND being organized with the ScrapRack allows me to be familiar with my stash and know exactly where to find it. That makes being creative so much easier and fun!

Challenge #4 - MPS National Scrapbook Day

This card is made from my new favorite Cricut Cartridge Damask Decor. The card is on page 58 and was cut at 6.25" with my Cricut Expression 2. The sentiment and layers were cut from Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Lite Cartridge at 1.5". The card is made from Bazzill basics cardstock. The layer is made from patterened paper from Darcie's LLC. I love the patterned paper because it's approximately 12" x 18" long with a small white border. The stamps used on the inside of the card and from Art Gone Wild! and the ink used was Simply Blue Tiful Hybrid ink from Clear & Simple Stamps.The ribbon is from my stash. This card was used for Mother's Day cards for my friends and family.

Provo Craft Birthday Layout Challenge - See this layout Live on HSN

This is the big one y'all! It's the 5th Anniversary of Cricut and Provo Craft is launching the Cricut Expression 2. They called for birthday layout subnmissions to help with the launch and I entered two layouts. They will use some of the layouts while showing the new Cricut on HSN. There are 5 showings starting at midnight on Monday. I am taping it all and am fully expecting to see my layouts on tv! But the best part is they will judge all the layouts received and choose 5 winners to receive the new Cricut Expression 2!!! I am super excited!

My first layout is called - Happy Sixth Birthday - it was a true labor of love and a tribute to my oldest daughter who turned 6 this year. She also is the reason I began scrapbooking. When she saw this layout she said "Aww mommy this will definitely make it on tv!" I almost shed a tear...

This is a close up of the title. It was cut from the Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Lite Cartridge from Walmart at 3.5" with different colored papers. I added Glam Pink Stickles for that extra oomph!

The six border was cut from Cricut Cartridge Graphically Speaking pg 73 with the fit to length feature on and set to 9 3/4" (which cut the border at 2.5" wide). The paper is from Die Cuts With A View. I added Glam Pink Stickles to the word six to accentuate it as part of the title.
