True story!! I am addicted to outline stickers. I have a stack at least 5 inches high and this is the first project I have made since I started collecting them so long ago. I bought them specifically to create my own glitter paper and to shade with Copics.

A few notes - Copics nibs can be ruined by glitter so I lay (dab) on the color with the side of the brush tip rather than coloring the nornal way. I also keep a colorless blender just for glitter. The blender really does blend as well as erase when used with glitter.

I also collect embossing folders. These three had never been used before for projects. Let's not even talk about how long I have been collecting dies and just started using them. I hoard...

These elements came together like butter! The more intense part was coloring and shading. I just love these ladies! It's rare but I only got one of these sheets. I try to get at least 2 because mistakes do happen...

Here's a close up of each an the internal sentiments I used. All the related info is included in the supply list. But feel free to leave me questions in the comments section if you'd like to know more.

Day 6 (of 12) Days of Christmas - Winter Fairy

As far as Copics are concerned, red is the hardest color to blend but I never back down from a challenge! Nooooo. I learned the best tip from Kristina Werner who uses brown as the darkest color when blending red. That was ALL I needed! It was 'on and poppin' after that! I have been blending red like a pro ever since.

This card features a stamp called winter fairy from The Rubber Cafe. I have been collecting images to color long before I knew how to shade with Copics and I am overjoyed I have the skills now to create to my heart's content. Believe it or not, I was actually scared, afraid, even frightened to even try coloring just a year ago.

Supplies:

·       The Rubber Café – winter fairy
·       Inkadinkado – Warm winter wishes – Peace
·       My Pink Stamper – Biggie Christmas – sentiment inside the card
·       Memento Tuxedo black ink
·       Tim Holtz Grid Blocks
·       Recollections 110 white cardstock
·       DCWV red metallic cardstock
·       Copic X-Press It blending card
·       Anna Griffin/cuttlebug embossing folder – snow flurry
·       eBosser
·       Martha Stewart Scoring Board
·       Creative Memories Guillotine, corner rounder
·       Cutterpillar pro
·       Encore ultimate metallic gold ink
·       Stampin’ Up! Gold Glory embossing powder, embossing buddy
·       Nicole Heat tool
·       American crafts gold ribbon
·       Wink of Stella - gold
·       Copics –
o   Hair – E25, 37, 29
o   Skin – E11, 13, 15
o   Shawl – Y28 and gold wink of stella pen
o   Dress – R20, 24, 29 and E18
o   Lip – Zig Clean Color brush pen – carmine red
o   Dress trim – white liquid applique

o   Highlight W1

This card is technique heavy! I dabbled in dry embossing, heat embossing, stamping, masking, Wink of Stella over Copics, Sequins, ribbon, etc. It was definitely a labor of love.

My fav gold embossing powder is by Stampin' Up! As a failsafe I stamp in Encore Ultimate Metallic gold ink to emboss (rather than VersaMark) to ensure full coverage if I miss any spots with the powder.

The finishing touch was to add liquid appliqué. Once it's heated, it puffs up and gives the appearance of fur. I tried to show you the dimension by taking several views. I hope you try this technique soon!

I love the look of those glittery scenes on card fronts. I thought I'd try my hand at creating one using a focal stamp from Stampendous. While the scene is stamped in blue memento ink, the magic is in the glitter!

Using a quickie fine point glue pen I strategically added adhesive to the card front. Then I sprinkled on micro-fine glitter. While it takes quite a while to do so, the result is well-worth it! Look at this sparkle and shine.

Supplies:

·       Stampendous – Snowy Postcard –
        Bahama blue memento ink
Stampendous Fran’s Mixed Media White Paper
·       The Paper Cut  - blue mirricard cardstock, white text inserts
·       Sookwang double-sided adhesive
·       Adhesive holographic paper - stash
·       Recollections – 110lb white cardstock
·       The Stamps of Life - Extra4lights
·       Tim Holtz grid blocks
·       Scotch ATG
        Micro-fine transparent glitter
        Quickie glue pen
