'Tis The Season... Christmas card

Since last month, I am proud to say that a set of my cards have been bought by Amare Hair Salon, a spa in my area. I get my facials there and was honored to be asked to design a series of cards for clients who come in to purchase gift cards. They also use them for client birthdays, etc.

This card is for the Christmas holiday. It's one of my favs from last holiday season. The best part is the googly eyes! The card was cut from Bazzill cardstock using the Christmas cards Cricut cartridge. The stamps on the front are from Technique Tuesday and the inside sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Happily Ever After card

This card is specifically for wedding or anniversary. I designed it for a local spa, Amare Hair Salon! Whoop whoop! Sooooo happy about that! The public is enjoying my craftiness!

The Bazzill card base is cut from the Cricut Cartridge Sophie. I love this flower card and embellishing it with recollections bling. I can't seem to make it any other way, LOL! The floral layer is from my stash (I think it's from the SEI Poppy stack but don't quote me).

The top note was cut in my cuttlebug but is by Quikcuts. I inked the layers and stamped with Clear and Simple Stamps - simply bluetiful. The cute Happily Ever After stamp is from Recollections just married set.

This stamp is from Stampin' Up! Full of life set. I love when a card comes together so seamlessly!!

Live, Laugh, Love card

For the spa, where my cards are available - Amare Hair Salon, I wanted to show a variety of craft skills. Today I'm showcasing dry embossing. It all started with a green (picture doesn't show the color well) textured card by DCWV 5.5" x 5.5" square. I embossed the card using the cuttlebug machine and the cuttlebug embossing folder from the love is in the air set. I've had this fabric tape in my stash for a while and was glad to try it out on this card. It's a great alternative to using regular ribbon with a bow.

This card is for love or marrige or anniversary. The stamp is from Stampin' Up! full of life stamp set. It's such a sweet sentiment. I'm sure this one will bring the recipient joy! Especially since it will have a spa gift card in it.

Gratitude is an action word

Here's another card from the ones I created especially for Amare Hair Salon, a local spa. The card base was cut from my stash with the Cricut Cartridge Sophie. I love how the cut outs reveal a complimentary solid color underneath. The green layer is Bazzill. I inked it with ranger distresed ink - Forest moss - to set it apart from the printed cardstock. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado thankful for everything clear stamp set stamped in black Archival Ink.

Inside the stamp is from My Pink Stamper everyday sentiments - a fav go to for my thank you cards. When a card is busy on the outside I like it to be nice and calm on the inside. This really is a great example of that craft style.

Fancy Rose Thank You card

By far, the Cricut Cartridge Sophie is one of my favs for cards. This is one of my all time fav cards because of the beautiful rose trim. Coupled with the dotted Bazzil cardstock it creates a combination I really love. The striped cardstock is from my stash.

The stamp is from Inkadinkado thankful for everything clear stamp set. I love love love it! Using Ranger Archival ink in black really made it stand out. The black glitter domes are from Crystal Stickers.

The inside has a sentiment from My Pink Stamper everyday sentiments clear stamp set. I'm sure this one will go fast at Amare Hair Salon, the local spa that commissioned me to make cards. Yeah!

Floral Get Well card

This my favorite card of the bunch I created for a local spa - Amare Hair Salon. It's a get well card that I was inspired to make based on the scraps that were on my table. The card was cut long ago from the Cricut Cartridge Sophie, The floral layer is from SEI Poppy Paper Stack and the dotted red cardstock in from Bazzill. I am in love with the small edge punchers from EK Success.

The sentiment on the outside and inside are from The Stamps of Life Umbrella4You. The "..." came from Clear and Simple Stamps.

Butterfly Get Well card

Here's another card, a get well card, I created for Amare Hair Salon, a local spa. Yeah!!! I have had this beautiful butterfly paper in my stash for a while. I have no idea of the manufacturer but I love the glittery images and felt the design could stand on its own.

To match the card base, DCWV texture card 5.5" x 5.5" I stamped the sentiment thinking of you from Clear and Simple stamps  in their hybrid ink (Simply Bluetiful).

Inside I stamped a sentiment from My Pink Stamper everyday sentiments in black Ranger Archival Ink. To make sure my stamping comes out perfect every time, I use the Darice Rubber Stamp Pad and a Mega Mount acrylic stamp block. Must haves for any stamper.

Pink Teddy Bear Diaper Cake

I am so into making diaper cakes these days! A close friend is expecting and I thought it would be nice to try the kind of diaper cake with the blanket in the middle with a teddy bear holding it at the top. I found the diapers, blanket and the bear at Target. The bear's tail can be pulled and it plays a lullaby. The diaper cake kit including the items for the baby - a headband (which is on the bear), skirt (tucked into the top layer of the cake) and flower clips at the bottom and top of the cake. I had the ribbon in my stash from Micheal's crafts. I love love LOVE how it came out and the mom and dad to be did too!

For the video I used to create the diaper cake in such a professional even looking way (without rubber bands or tape or glue) so that it can easily be taken apart and used check out my recent post detailing the last diaper cake I made.

I like to package the diaper cakes in 30x30 shrink wrap bags on a cake board both from hobby lobby.

Stay tuned in November for pictures of the layouts I made in class at CKC Lancaster and how I personalized them to create a baby's first year instant scrapbook for this family! It was a big, big hit! A treasured keepsake for years to come!

Just Because - You Deserve a Treat!

Since last month, I am proud to say that a set of my cards have been bought by Amare Hair Salon, a spa in my area. I get my facials there and was honored to be asked to design a series of cards for clients who come in to purchase gift cards. They also use them for client birthdays etc. The first card is from the Cricut cart Damask Decor. The stamps are from Clear and Simple Stamps - Spa Darling and Pops2Eat The Stamps of Life.

I love these Clear and Simple stamps because they bring across the whole spa feeling. I also love pairing cards from different companies to bring about just the right feeling. Kraft cardstock also gives it that natural zen feeling. I hope you enjoyed this card and the remainder of the cards this week. I cannot express the joy I am feeling for accomplishing a long-time goal.

Action Wobble Birthday Star Tag

To go along with my daughter's classmate's birthday present I created a tag instead of a card. I wanted to see how an action wobble works on a tag. My plan was to wrap a gift and attached the tag to the gift wrap. I hand cut the tag (unevenly as you can see) from DCWV glitter cardstock. I love it because the glitter stays in the cardstock and doesn't get all over the place like with other brands. Then I cut the star flourish image from Cricut Cartridge Life's a Party at 3.25" in size. The star has 4 layers and my daughter picked them all from my scraps. The image came out long but not that wide so I punched a 1" circle in blue to hide the action wobble spring.

The alpha stickers are from EL Success Sticko. I love their size and style. Unfornately, I couldn't get a good action shot but here's the proof that the action wobble is attached! The birthday girl loved it and even guessed that the gift had something to do with art! She loves art projects. So it was a big hit! Hope I get caught wobblin' but the Action Wobbles folks. I love to win prizes!!!

Action Wobble Football Birthday Card and Tag

This is my first action wobble project and I'm hooked!! I'm entering the Wobble Wednesday Challenge #30 at the Action Wobble blog. Wish me luck!

OK, I made 2 of these for 2 special boys who had a birthday recently. It was exciting to use a new craft material. I was so organized I was able to go to my birthday section in my scraprack and get everything I needed!

Look at it go!!!

Here's the action wobble attached to the back of the football. (I noticed that people that use action wobbles always take the action shot and the spring shot...when in Rome...LOL)

The blank space was for a $10 bill. Each child turned 10 so I gave $1 for each year of life.

Just in case I decided to give a gift I made these tags (into my stash they go...)

Supplies:
  • American Crafts - black square card 5 1/4" x 5 1/4 "
  • Gold cardstock - Bazzill
  • Football - Cricut Cartridge Wrap it up - page 70 cut at 2" - browns Bazzill and yellow - Core'dinations white wash
  • Action wobble
  • celebrate stamp - birthday fun - Inkadinkado
  • happy birthday stamp - greetings4birthday - The stamps of Life
  • Tag - Cricut Cartridge Wrap it up - page 70 cut at 4" - browns Bazzill

Zora's Sympathy Card

My daughter Zora (age 7) wanted to make a sympathy card for her beloved teacher who lost her grandmother recently. Due to completing my organization challenge, my reward was teaching my daughter one new craft technique each week. I asked her to pick a letter from the alphabet. She picked "P" so I taught her how to use punches.

She chose the Martha Stewart scallop dot punch and expertly executed this double sided border. She watched some of the 24 hr HSN craft day last month and saw Martha doing that method. The card is stamped with sentiments from The Stamps of Life. I am a proud stamp of the month member. We cut the butterfly out of beautiful paper I had in my stash. The base card was from Die Cuts With a View.

This was a 2-for because I also showed her the basics of good stamping and let her use my Darice pad that I use under all my stamping when it has to be perfect. It was a great bonding time for us.

inside the card

Zora was super psyched about this post and adding more to her board on my Pinterest account.

On back: zora's signature with a stampin' up stamp

Please show your love to my baby girl...

Disney Tusker House

The morning after the Embellish It! Play All Day I got inspired to create this layout. I received the adhesive border stickers underneath the journaling block as a door prize. It inspired me. In my hotel room I was much more focused than I was at the crop. Isn't that always how it goes? I brought half my craft room and never used most of it. I've gotta get better at packing for these things. But I love to feel freedom with my creativity. If I don't have a supply I MIGHT need I feel stifled.

You know those items in your stash that you save for that special project? I had some adhesive ribbon - red and blue entwined that made the difference in this layout. The title is from EK Success. I was glad that it came with lots of extra stars. I used every star in the pack!

Going to Disney is about meeting THE mouse! I figured I would create a page about our experience with him. We made the signature books with my story photo before we went to disney so I had to capture him signing.

The African food at Tusker House was to die for as well!! I do not remember where I got the family embellishments but felt they fit well with this page. I just don't know how I will ever write to small to fit on that journaling block...hmmmmmm.

I love my family!!
